Product Introduction: Philips showcases ZigBee compatible sensors and the battery-free Philips Hue Tap Switch

At the International CES 2015, Philips is showcasing a lineup of three sensor devices due for launch in 2015. The device lineup includes a humidity and temperature sensor, a door / window contact sensor, and a motion sensor. These devices are to support ZigBee Light Link (ZLL) and forward compatibility with ZigBee 3.0.
Philips is furthermore showcasing the Philips Hue Tap Switch, a battery-free wireless switch that operates on the Green Power of ZigBee 3.0. Aside from providing innate connectivity with ZigBee-enabled products, Philips lighting is also compatible with devices by leading light switch providers such as Legrand and Lutron.
