At the International CES 2015, Moscow-based Cubic Robotics will be showcasing the Cubic, a home automation system and personal assistant that verbally interacts with the user via voice recognition and artificial intelligence.
The artificial intelligence that operates in the Cubic backend supports learning capabilities and the curation of user-relevant personal information, providing timely reminders for important upcoming events and automatically managing connected devices to suit the user's habits.
The Cubic ecosystem presently comprises of the Home Cube verbal interaction device; the Power Badge, a wearable terminal device that permits interaction with the Cubic backend on the go; any mobile devices loaded with a compatible Cubic app; and compatible smart plugs for outlet or energy management. Key features include:
• Long-range voice recognition system, allowing for verbal interfacing at ranges up to 25 feet from the Home Cube station.
• Multi-topic conversation support system for longer, natural speech.
• Intelligence Core permits learning of user personality and speech patterns.
• Presently provides integration with more than 50 apps and systems.
Cubic natively support remote management of devices from the following home automation and home security brands:
• Nest / Nest Protect
• Philips Hue
• Samsung SmartThings
