LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SPIN remote B.V. debuts the remote control of the future, ‘SPIN remote’, at the 2015 International CES at the Atmel booth #MP25760 and the Freescale IoT Truck #CP8.

SPIN remote is designed for anyone who wants to be in control of their devices, but is frustrated with the ever growing number of buttons and remotes this requires. SPIN remote B.V. frees the remote of all those buttons that are never used.

SPIN remote is packed with sensors to detect motion, rotation, orientation and touch. Its technology seamlessly transforms this information into commands your equipment will understand. It can connect existing Infrared equipment to the smart home and offer a tangible interface to smart devices. Boundaries start to fade, as SPIN remote can just as easily control a non-networked TV as it can dim smart lights.

“Years ago, when I first had the idea of a buttonless remote control, the technology to produce such a device just wasn’t commercially viable. With recent technological advancements and a group of talented people joining forces everything changed. The result is an amazing product that brings back simplicity to the living room.” said Ruud de Vaal, Co-Founder and inventor of SPIN remote.

On December 2nd 2014, SPIN remote officially launched on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. The product will be in retail stores September 2015. The Kickstarter campaign runs until January 13th 2015.
