Winter Park, FL – December 11, 2014 – UniKey, the industry leader in smart access control technology, will demonstrate its keyless entry Touch-to-Open™ technology at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). UniKey will showcase its smart access platform that can be licensed to manufacturers and integrated into anything that locks, in virtually any setting. Highlighted solutions include Inside / Outside positioning technology integrated with several market leaders including hospitality door locks from MIWA Lock Company as well as the residential smart lock, Kwikset Kevo™. Pioneering intuitive, convenient entry options, UniKey removes the need for keys at home, at work and while traveling. UniKey is located in the Sands Smart Home Marketplace at CES, booth #70334.

Since its introduction as the first-to-market Bluetooth® enabled smart lock, Kevo has turned the smartphone into a key and revolutionized the way users share and manage access to their homes. At CES 2015, UniKey will demonstrate its proprietary, patent-pending Inside / Outside Intelligence that allows Kevo to detect if a user is inside or outside the home ensuring the utmost safety and security and preventing unauthorized locking and unlocking. Touch-to-Open technology lets users unlock the door by a simple touch while their authorized smartphone remains conveniently in their purse or pocket. Kevo has a dedicated app for iOS and offers a Beta app for Android 5.0 Lollipop.

UniKey will also showcase solutions for the hospitality market at CES 2015. Broadening its offering for hotels, UniKey has developed a proprietary Touch-to-Open Passive Keyless Entry system that can be integrated into hospitality access solutions, providing unparalleled convenience for hotel guests. UniKey will demonstrate its platform integrated with MIWA’s hospitality locks. This solution transforms the hotel experience, allows check-in bypass with an electronic key sent via the hotel’s app, and enables hotel guests to gain quick and easy access to their hotel room without removing their phone from pocket, bag or purse.

In addition to booth demonstrations, UniKey founder and president, Phil Dumas will speak on the panel “From Startup to CE Sensation” to discuss how UniKey has moved from an industry startup to a leader in the smart access control tech market. Dumas will offer insight into the core of what makes the UniKey technology brand successful and how UniKey’s platform has users in over 166 countries around the world.

The panel will take place on January 5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall, Room N261 from 10:15-11:15 AM, is moderated by Rachel Metz, senior editor, MIT Technology Review and will feature Dumas, Davide Rossi, Co-Founder & CEO, FitBark and Mark Parker, President, TREWGrip, LLC.
